View Full Version : How do you manage!?

Personally i'm a member of like 8 GPTR programs now, but i hear some people are members of 50-100+ (!!!!)

How ever do you manage to read all the emails that come to you and keep track of EACH PROGRAM!?

I mean, you must be receiving like 200-600 mails a day!!!

Great Question!

I hope the following helps without seeming like I'm telling you How to Crack Eggs to make an Omelette.

You Do need to get organised... no doubt about that.. Here are some of the things I do:

a) I have an email which I only use for GPTR programmes... That way I have all of them coming through to one account.

B) I set up mail rules to separate various kinds of mail into different folders

- Ad redemption only sites
- Ones which have a quick expiry (some are 12/24 hour links)
- Searches
- "Limited"

c) I really plan how to harvest the most from each programme - which means deciding whether you plan to reach payout or whether you are going to redeem for advertising. Either way, I make sure I hit the PTC sections of these programmes..

d) I also do a rough calculation based on average pay per click * number of clicks per day to estimate how long it will take to reach payout.

e) When I'm "working" I treat all distractions as equal - the goal for me is to read the emails and click the paying links. So I religiously put aside all advertising offers, please help, etc. etc. until I can focus on it... If you do this, you can get through about 500 emails in less than 2 hours...

Like others, I DO keep a list of all the programmes I've joined, the payout level, current earnings, referral information, etc.

The other big are to watch is HOW TO AVOID GETTING DELETED...

1. I do NOT use any "cheat" software - eg collecting all the links and automatically opening them... Most POs have ways of detecting this - and if it's worth clicking the links in the first place, it's worth ensuring that you are getting paid.

2. So I also NEVER let anyone else open a GPTR programme on my PC - I know someone who got deleted at one of the really big programmes for simply getting their referral URL up by signing in and letting their friend sign up on the computer.

3. Watch you inactivity levels.. and make an arrangement to at least click a PTC even if you can't open all the email. Some are as few as 7 days.

It almost goes without saying that you should not let your emails bounce because you inbox is full, nor should you spam anyone -

So, why would you bother?
If you get yourself sorted, it's as easy to make over $200 per month as it is to make under $20 per month!

Let me know if I can help!

Thanks for the great and thorough answer.

I have my own server with unlimited storage (well about 200GB so that's close to unlimited for emails ;) ) so i don't have to worry about emails bouncing.

But the thing that bothers me the most is that it takes me like 1-2 hours a day to "do" only 100-130 emails... and i don't sign up for the "limited" programs because i always tend to miss those and they expire.

Anyway, i'm new at this GPTR "bussiness" thing... only been doing it for about 1 month or maybe 1 and a half.. I'm a member of just 8 programs, with having 10+ referrals in only 2 of them, but it will still be a LONG time for me to reach payouts on them...

Anyway, the main question: Does it pay to join up on A LOT of programs and just get referrals to here and there, or sign up to like 10 that are truly great, and try to get many referrals to those?

Well, I can honestly say that we're all on the same learning curve here!

If you are good at promoting, then it makes sense to promote your favourite PAYING programmes so that you have lots of people helping you reach payout everymonth.

If you haven't got the cash to promote, then it makes sense to join some programmes - just to redeem for ads!

Regardless of which tact you take, the key is to harvest EVERY SINGLE CENT from your chosen programmes - this means do ALL the searches, check for the PTCs at least every day, if not every hour!

As you have figured out, you're not going to make big money JUST by clicking on a few hundred emails a month, week or even a day...

I've seen different tacts taking regarding new programs. Some people sign up for every new programme, and allow for the fact that at a significant % will disappear / be sold / change their terms within the first 6 months.. At least that's my experience. Other people wait for 2 to 3 months and then join - if it's worth promoting, it will still be worth joining after it's been running for 6 months!

In my case I'm simply trading time for money - like any job!

As least with Downline 4 All, we can support each other whilst we figure out which programmes are here for the long run!

There's a completely different side to this equation though which is the revenue generation side (eg the Pay to Click and the Pay to Search sections)... and some seem to make lots of money out of it... Perhaps they will share their expertise too!

I've been wondering about the same thing..
Currently I am a member of about 10 sites (joined to get some ads for the forum), and I think I get a lof of e-mails. I can only think about what it would
be like to receive thousands of e-mails a day.

How many e-mails can you click an hour now Vamp?

I use MyIE2 browser and incredimail mail program..

(NB: I'm moving this thread to the gptr section)

thanks lene
when i saw this right now i was gonna move it to that section under how u get orginized as I started a thread there for that reason :)

As for me..im in 142 programes not counting my programes for ads only
i get about 1500 emails a day
spend a good 8-9 hrs a day online clicking them..but im also on here as well whenever i can
when i cant then they build up and I then have to catch up clicking or delete the extras.

So far in 5 months i have made over 2 thousand US dollars this way..which to me is nearly double the amount when changed to AUD :)
but it takea ALOT of time
i do NOT watch TV but one or two shows that normaly get taped on VHS for me as im on the puter LOL and hardley go out LOL
but when I do have family comitmets and friends come over I just have to leave it all then get back a couple days later and delete alot of email.

Overall if you have the time to do it. and you enjoy it as I do ..go for it! If not then stick to max 20 or 25 sites and promote the hell out of them and get good downlines.

Andrius86

Yes well, the way i see it, is that you CAN make a decent buck with this, only if you spend a ridiculous amount of time at your computer.

But i have my studies, i need to go out sometimes, and take breaks, and other stuff that a normal 18 year old would do.

So signing up to 100+ programs to spend 5-10 hours at my computer EVERY SINGLE DAY doing nothing but clicking would be just..... EQUAL TO DEATH

:D

*EDIT* GAH! Just noticed i made a mistake in the topic ^^ *EDIT*

how many programes you join really does depend on what suites you. Everyone is different in circumstances.

Andrius86 if I was 18 I wouldnt be on the puter at all !!LOL so yes for you a smaller number with some good downlines will give you that spare cash :)

I'm a stay at home mum, so leaving the pc up and running when I can and clicking links between housework, cooking and playing "mums taxi" to my kids suites my lifestyle. I dont mind having that many emails coming in, plus when I do sit and seriously "work" on here....thats my time for myself when the family knows to leave me in peace :)

topic title is fixed now ;)

I think that I must be a bit odd!
I seem to work in a totally different way to everyone else.

I lost count of my amount of sites a long time ago, (possibly about 200).

I have all my sites lined up in alphabetical order in my favorites down the side of the screen and go through them one by one.

If there is a site inbox only option I use that.

At the beginning of the day, I open my own inbox, delete the mails that have a site inbox but do not have the option of that only, (the mails are on site as well, so I don't need them) I then go through the ones that have no site inbox.

After that, I tour through my list at leasure, nipping back to my own inbox periodically to keep it down.

I get through the grand tour in about five days, (well within inactivity-deletion time) giving me the weekend free to do my own thing and spend a few hours doing traffic exchanges and getting ads sorted....simple. :D

Oh, yeah.

And I only EVER do searches for site support!!!

wow lungfish !
do not say you are odd!
We all have different ways of using our computers and doing things, what works for one is not always good for another.
I could teach my way to 2 people and one would say "wow thats cool" and the other would look at me like I am crazy. Then show them your way and they love it and got the hang of it straight away.
Im very glad you posted in here, especially for the newbies to the industry, as it helps if they see a variety of methods used. From that they can take some advice from one and some from another and hopefully work out a system that works and then becomes "their way"
That is what this thread is all about and why I started it:)
Thanks for the great input!

can I ask.... are you on a broadband conection?

the reason I ask is I am only a dial-up and find site inboxes toooooo slow to bother unles I HAVE to so I use my pop 3 client the most, however if they worked faster for me I would give them more credit and at least try out your way to see.
(note: I also run a lan of 3 PC's here so that slows things down for me too....no only my pc does PTR LOL one does online gaming and study, thats my son, and the other pc does alot of d/l of movies, music, online games and such) I used to use win 98 SE with sygate as the network software and im sure it was faster.
Now we have faster upgraded pc's running the LAN over the intergrated software on XP pro and I find my emails can be sooooo slow. Sometime the more advances in technology the more complicated and worse things get hehehe :P

I only have dial-up too, I just have a lot of free time! :D

My work contract ran out earlier this year, and I wanted something different.

I really enjoy doing this, so I happily put in long sessions, (12, 14 hours. I once did a straight 23!)

Waiting for pages to load CAN be annoyingly long. I've found that singing helps.

Thank God for DSL :D

I'm a Member at about 65 Programs right now. Thats keeps me pretty busy

I go online at about 10am, and by 6pm i'm done doing my PTR. Just in time for dinner :D

I manage my PTR/C with Roboform. You can Download it for free.
It keeps track of ALL my programs! :P

a few month ago i heard about AVANT BROWSER, so i gave it a test run. I dont know how i managed before!!LOL

You can work in several Windows at the same time :D (its free too) and its fast.

I recommend MyIE2 to everyone - it's the most stable browser I know. I've tried about a dozen inc. Avast.

MyIE2 is the best multi-window browser I've found and has the functionality
to dynamically ad new sites to the pop up blocker, prevent the downloading
of java applets, etc. You can stop graphics from downloading which saves a lot of time on a dialup line = just show picture to uncover the turing #s..... http://download.com..

I don't use Robo because many PO change the labels, not the field name in the interest area LOL don't want to get deleted for ticking the wrong boxes LOL.

Here's the other stuff 've recommended time & time again.... to kkep you safe on-line.

Other members have had to stumble, falter and suffer severely to learn the
hard way these simple steps to stay safe online.

All the applications are available from http://www.download.com if not
directed elsewhere.

a) Load and learn how to use HiJackThis to understand what's running on
your machine. BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THIS PROGRAMME and Make a BACKUP before
DELETING entries.

Then PROTECT Yourself with the following or similarily excellent tools....

B) Windows Update security patches - should be on your IE menu (I'm assuming
you're running IE) got to http://www.microsoft.com/ if you haven't yet done
so. There were some critical ones which came out this week.

c) Firewall - use one which can be tailored to application as well as
specific IP addresses

d) Antivirus - and keep it updated!

e) Spyware - I use the following programmes to get rid of and prevent the
nasty bugs from scoping my machine....

1. Spyware Blaster - http://www.wilderssecurity.net/index.html - stops
spyware, adware, keyloggers, etc from installing in the first place.
2. MRU Blaster - gets rid of unwanted cookies, ie cache, etc.
http://www.wilderssecurity.net/index.html

f) IE Popup stopper (for the ones which use the MS Messenger function) -
ASHAMPOO IP Spam Blocker

g) Set myIE2 security standards so that files cannot be
downloaded/installed without automatically triggering a download manager
like DAP

This might seem like a lot. Better safe than sorry....It is worth it, though
you'll need to experiment with the settings so that it doesn't interfere
with the programmes you really need.

I have Norton...the complete package.

It's like having a very strict babysitter. :D

It keeps updating itself and scanning my PC automatically, so I don't have to worry.

It does tend to block some stuff that's harmless, though. But since I don't want a Russian bride, an Eternal Life Device or a Modchip, I don't mind. :P

VamPvixen

I have Nortons Professional
If you check our virus thread you will see that i do NOT trust it
It wont find many things at all
I run 2 virus programes (AVG is the other)now so one finds what nortons does not

also spyware and adware is a totally diferent kettle of fish and a virus scanner can't find them either so I recomend programes specifically made for these.
Antinomy has put in some above and ones I can also recomend aswell are adaware (it also has a plug-in to turn off win mesenger function) and spybot search and destroy.

Run these for the first time and you will probably faint when you see how much iscurently in your system and that Nortons did NOT find or even have in their encylopedia. After that you will never want to go without these utilities.

For any questions regarding these things or links to d/l them pop over to
http://www.downline4all.com/forums/index.php?showforum=62
and ask away

On the subject of how do I manage...

I do try to harvest every penny from my favourite sites.. eg to ALL the PTCs, so I really like the idea of going around the list in order.

In my case it's once a day - because for every good programme, there's at least 10-50 cents a day waiting to be collected.

10 cents x 10 programmes = $1 / day = $365 per year.... and could mean the difference between cashing out every two months versus every 3-4 months!

Again, I set these up in MyIE2 so I don't even have to log in if they've sent a link that day.
Hello!
I'm still a Newbie, 2 month ago or something like this I started clicking for my boyfriend, he already had 5 sites or something like this. And I told him, I'll do this, because he's working and I'm home all day...
Anyway, I started it and became fascinated. Now we have 13 sites, a few very good ones like Bank-Mail and YnaandStar and also a few like Exclusive-Mail, they are only for Redeem in advertisers. But I like them, because in this way I have always credits for advertising if I want to build downlines for a specific site. Our neighbour has 50 or more programms and is really a professional already, but this would be really too much, they really have no time for anything else anymore.
Anyway, my neighbours helped me to get the Starter-Know-How... :D And my boyfriend gave the business completely in my hands now, and I'm happy with it, it's pure fun!!! At the moment I'm really busy with building a downline for seamaid-mails and after all, I spend ca 4 hours daily at pc, including reading the mails, clicking ptc and corrospondence with the webmasters. If I would go to work, I'd spend more hours, but on this way, I'm my own boss... ;)

Anyway, I have a very good downline at Digital Mails, and, dear Referals, if you read this: Thank you very much for clicking for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You're all really great!!!!!!!!

I think, I'll find a lot of good tips inside this forum, and, if anybody thinks, I could have useful tips, please write me! I'm still a newbie, but if I can help, I'll do!

Wish you all a nice day!
Friendly Greetings from
Rabsonja!

Okay.. i think you'r guys are using very very much time every day..
Then how much you earn at month?

I can take read / click 123 e-mails on 46 minutes ( i took time.. )
I just open af window for each program..

I´ve got like 6-10 programs and i earn like 2-6 $ at day and i´ve got payouts every month!.. I more focus on refferals.... I think thats the best way.. thats the way you earn without doing any thing.. and i like programs with 6+ levels.. Like Mec-Co-Op .. 10 refferal levels and i earn over 1 $ at day there without refferals.. then refferal earnings comes at the night when they update that..

Thats great for me :) !

There must be a lot of work with 100-200 programs .. lol!.. no time to PTC right?

Lene
06-28-2004, 12:53 AM
I'm only clicking for 3 programs: mistyandsamscash, money-for-emails
and premiermails. Premiermails is ads only site.
From the two others I guess I earn about 10$ a month in total.

I earn more from search engines, but not too much yet,
but more and more as my cashflow increases ;)

If you are like me and just want some few good programs..
Then you sould try Mec-Co-Op..you can earn a lot at day.. and i can see you active on the internet any way.. and many of the links are click able after 4 hours again....
