Is anyone else receiving their emails with a big red '''SPAM''' stamped on them? Or is it just me?

Not me..
have you sendt out ads to any leads lately?
I allways get a "punch in the face" after doing so.. :)
This is about the only times I get accused of doing
something wrong I guess .
Anyone else have this problem with beeing accused
of spamming?

It's not emails that I send, it's all the ones that I recieve from the PTR sites that I'm with, all my paid mails. So they're not actually Spam.
They're all readable, they're just labelled '''SPAM''' in the header.
So when I open my inbox I get a big list of stuff like:-
paidmail@goobermails '''SPAM''' 5c mail
It's very odd.
(but colourful)

sounds like you or your host is using a sentinel service ....
I've had ones with lots of links have the content removed.
Too bad they don't strip virus attachments.
btw, some one knows how to grab all the email accounts from cc scripts, so keep your details safe.

I totally understand you D.Koenemann, frustrating things!
But lungfish, you should maybe tell about this to the wm of the ptr,
I think this is the kind of things that will bring the "read percentage"
down.
I bet they can get rid of the Possible Spam alert if they change
the cotent of the emails they send out.
This is probably not very good for their business..
They can't change the content when the advertiser's are writing it.
I know for sure I wouldn't like it if they changed my ads as
they wanted.
There's a lot of things to think about if you want to avoid
those spam filters, so I think it would be impossible
for a webmaster of a paid to read site. One of the words that
gives an e-mail higher "spam ranking" in spamassasin is "biz".
I used to belong to a newsletter with interesting info about
spamassasin and other spam filters, but forgot to subscribe
after I changed e-mail address. If you know of any
interesting newsletters about this topic , please let me know :D

You are so right Lene,
I was thinking wrong.. :D I had the NWC system on my mind
where the email you get in your inbox just contains a link that
takes you to the Actual email ad that is stored on their server.
Don't know why I mixed them up :)
That would be possible, but then I'd prefer the online inbox of
cash crusader..

Yes, I agree with you on that Lene, it's best to
get the Emails there instead of your email inbox.
But this would not take care of the problem to
those that do send out emails to their members.
I think that email advertising is getting harder
and harder for each month, always new "rules"
in the Email spam filters and so..
I think this will only be more and more difficult
for the POs out there that send out emails.
I don't mean to be negative, but this is a big
challenge, that will probably only be bigger?
Like D. Koenemann I use "my own spamfilter".
The good thing about using my own domain is
that I can just create a new e-mail address if one
address starts getting spammed.
I'm glad my host aren't forcing spam filters on me :)

My ISP also gave me a choice if I want to use the filter or not, we can activate it online if and when we want it.
I didnt of course as I would prob not get most my emails if I did.
The thing that bugs me is I get alot of spam anyway and they all get thru yet they will try to block my PTR sites grrrrrrr
