My mother taught me TO APPRECIATE A JOB WELL DONE:
'If you're going to kill each other, do it outside - I just finished
cleaning!'

My mother taught me LOGIC:
'Because I said so, that's why.'

My mother taught me FORESIGHT:
'Make sure you wear clean underwear, in case you're
in an accident.'

My mother taught me IRONY:
'Keep crying and I'll give you something to cry about.'

My mother taught me about WEATHER:
'It looks as if a cyclone swept through your room.'

My mother taught me THE CIRCLE OF LIFE:
'I brought you into this world, and I can take you out.'

heh thanks
my son got me a block of chocolate
my daughter made me a fridge magnet with her photo in it :)
and she bought me a $5.00 bottle of wine with her pocket money from her father
which I am drinking right now!!

My mother taught me about WEATHER:
'It looks as if a cyclone swept through your room.'

We get to celebrate Mother's Day twice, because in the UK it's in March I think..

I do remember my son producing a card he made at Scouts, making a cup of tea and pancakes for breakfast - pretty good for a nine year old.
