Hello again!
I had a trojan this morning or maybe not, my NORTON gave alert, but 2 scans, independent from each other, said that the pc is not infected. Is this usual that NORTON gives alert, if there's nothing wrong?
I did the online-scan at SYMA and found a specified TROJAN-Scanner, wiyh a 30 day free trial. Both said my pc is completely ok  but I,m still not sure.
Anyway, I'll give a try to the trial, it looks really easy (even for blondes like me ;) )
Here is the link, if somebody is interested:

Friendly Greetings from
Rabsonja
I'm not using Norton, but I assume that Norton automatically
cleaned it for you.
Someone else that's using Norton can probably tell if this is correct :)

Hi rabsonja
Nortons will pop up an alert as it finds it and clean it if it can at the same time, especially if its in an email.
Therefore doing a scan after that may show up as normal as the offending file has been removed. However it may not be able to fix it if the file is curently bee used by your OS.
To double check it is best to run norton in safe mode as it can not fix any file that is curently in use so it wont show up in a subsequent scan.
If it all comes up clean in safe mode then its safe to assume it fixed the prob successfully as it found it.
One word of warning Nortons is good but has alot of downfalls too. Not ONE programe alone can find ALL bad files so doing the online scans and other scans with diferent programes is very good practice.
Try AVG (its free and you can find the download link in the download thread) If both Nortons and AVG scan your puter and the trojan does not come up then its gone!! :)
thanks for the link too! I have not seen this one before so I will check it out :)

Yes, and you can always try out some of the other great scanners
that are listed in this topic:

I have heard that it's not a good thing to run two virus
programs on one computer. I can't remember why it
wasn't a good thing, so I can't really make a good argument
about this

Hello Lene!
My boyfriend says the same, but like in everything about computers, they are different opinions and I'm really happy that I can read them here. I get a lot of good tips here.
Fact is, my pc seems to be alright again. I ran one more scan today and it looks like my Norton is also not good, I can't do a total system-scan, I tried out all what they wrote in SYMANTEC support like erasing temporary internet files and so long, but still it don't works, so I think I have to install new. I'll try one or two of the links now.
The other scans I did gave the result that my pc is ok. No Trojans or any other dirt.
Hope it will stay this way...
Have a great day, wherever you are!

I scanned my pc on ad and spyware now, found the nastie and removed him. :D
Than I did the PandaActiveScan and my pc didn't like it, he didn't want to do anything anymore... I had to turn him out and start new...
