Last month's poll was Which payment method do you prefer?

We had a total vote of 25 members.

52% favored PayPal
20% Egold
20% check

There is a need for additional payment processors, but finding one that is safe and secure is a problem. Hopefully things will improve and more will become available, till then be very cautious to whom you entrust your money handling needs.

I like email advertising and traffic exchanges alot.
Most of the time you find many new teamsters if
it's done big.

I like banner advertising too, but mostly email ads
and a lot of direct hits from the good manual traffic
exchanges :D

50 refs is pretty good from 25 000 views.
Do you use custom banners or the ones provided by the programs
you advertise?

I use most of them. It all depends on how I feel at the time. :P

I DO like traffic exchanges, but find that they're not really suitable for advertising PTR's, more for the obscure programs, (I did well with Mailbling on traffic exchanges) I think they're for MLM's and randomisers etc. :D

I do email ads when I'm feeling creative. I like being 'wordy'. :)

Banner ads are good, but I can't be bothered typing all that stuff in the little box, (I cut and paste only under duress)

I'm with 2 ezines and they're good. But you've got to be in the mood to write a thesis before you begin.

I don't bother with PTC/sign-up. I don't know why.

I like to use business cards. :)

The business card way can be fun and productive.

I make my own on my computer, in small lots of
50 or so.

I make up several different styles. Sometimes I carry
10 of them made out for advertising traffic exchanges.

Another 10 advertising an affiliate program I am involved with.

10 more advertising craft business I am in.

The possibilites are endless. When you go somewhere on
business or pleasure you can leave cards in all kinds of places.

You decide how many of each kind based on where you are
going and what you are doing when you get there.

Remember businesses must advertise at all times if they
are to be profitable. Think of how many businesses have
or are getting their own website? They need exposure and
you just happen to know where they can get it! Traffic Exchange
business card definately gets left by me!

Now think of how many probably have never heard of a
Traffic Exchange. They are free and exposure to thousands
upon thousands of people. Just think about what it could be
like if just one of them joined in your downline and had massive
success. They are gonna spread the word, and if it is your
downline, you may someday be able to smile all the way to the bank. :D  B)

I like banners on PTR sites :) so I voted PTR as I use them for email ads and also for banners.

D. your business cards are a great idea! I have had them for various things in the past (not related to online work) and business cards are good.

maybe I should print out some for my online adventures and try them again.

Hello!
At most I also use Banners, but the success depends on much factors:
The site you advertise
Where you advertise(the bigger programms logically have more traffic, but they are also expensive in advertising, especially when you advertise only with redeeming)
How fast the banners run through, is also important. If they run too fast, people don't have time to get interested for it.

I like FortKnox. They have points for Redeem, and it's really easy to collect, for example 200 points, you need maybe 3-4 days to collect them. The Webmistress Jayne is fast, friendly and honest. Once she brought my banner online only 5 minutes after sending it out! Maximally 12 hours after sending the banner or the mail is online.

Friendly Greetings and have a great day, wherever you are!

Where you advertise is important, but how you advertise is even more important. For example. Do you create your own ads or do you use the ones prepared for you by the site or PO?

Which works best in your experience? :)

I'm too lazy to make my own banners.. I haven't got the hang of it either,
so i just use the default ones, but with e-mail advertising I always write my own.

If anyone reads them or just click the link is another question, but I do
beleive that some people do even in PTR.
If you promote a MLM it's all in the words. i think it's much more important
to write good and use a page to capture leads if you promote a MLM biz.
You need to gain more trust to have someone sign up for your MLM offer.
At least if you want them to spend any money, but PTR is free, so people
sign up more spontaneous I guess, and don't care as much about what
you write.

Ok, thats a pretty good variety of ways. All can be effective for different people using them in different ways. :)

You need to express in words why some one should look at your program.

Let's try an experiment here and see what we might create and develop together. :)

Imagine you are trying to get me to look at and join your program. I don't know anything about PTR, PTC or anything like it, but I want to earn some money.

You are creating an ad for me to read that will get me to join under you. You only have one chance at getting my attention focussed on your biz op. :o

Don't be shy, just post it. We are not going to make fun of anyone , but see if together we can create and effective ad to use in gaining referrals. :) B)

We might be able to come up with something that is useful to all of us. We"ll call this our brainstorming co-op or something. So come on and everybody join in and let see what happens.
