It's a good rule to never click any links from the e-mail.
I can't remember to have received any e-mails from paypal
after the welcome e-mail.

The only time I click a link from the e-mail is if I have won an ebay auction.

Rabsonja,

This has been making the rounds for a couple of months now. Thanks for the reminder

You'll find another thread in the general computer problems sections about how to protect your on-line accounts. I recommend everyone is extra vigilant about checking for adware before logging into any on line currency holdings.

Thanks Rabsonja

I know I would never click on any link that is in an email that was supposedly coming from Paypal. I am sure they say on there site that they don't send emails like that.

Yes they do list this information. Still many people manage to get tricked.

I have received several fake emails in the past, they look very authentic.

If you look at the address it doesn't have the hpps: indicating a secure server.

Always double check, and if you still have a question, open a new browser and go direct to PayPal and ask them about it. :)

Hello!
I sended it also to all websites where I'm a member so they can warn the other members. Pity I can't do more and I hope, every webmaster will really send it out...
But if it safes the money of one person, I'll be happy! And if it sfes the money of a lot of people, I'll be even more happy...
We all have to be careful!

Friendly Greetings and have a great day wherever you are!

Hi!
Until now, only the smaller sites sent it out :(
That's somehow very sad to see, seems like some of the webmasters of the bigger sites don't care for their members anymore...

That's a reason more, why I like the smaller sites, they care for their members almost every one (FORT KNOX for example, Jayne is really like an angel to her members!).

I did, what I can do, hope, it helped at least a few people out there...

Friendly Greetings and have a great day, wherever you are!

Rabsonja,

I agree with you about the narrowmindedness of some of the "families" of sites - it amazes me that they want us to go and recruit new blood to their programmes, but don't look after newbies when they try to make ends meet through gptr.

That's one of the reasons why I'm behind Downline4All - the people here are always ready to help anyone.

Aloha!
I placed it to my website also now, had this idea just a few hours ago, maybe I can reach some more people with this warning than (hope dies at last)...

Fort Knox sent it out immediately...
Jayne is a great webmistress and I'm really sorry that Fort Knox is gone, she really gave her last blood for the site... :(

Anyway, I wish everybody here a nice evening, without hoax, fraud, trojans, spyware and all the other dirt which is coursing on the www
