I live in a small community south of Jackson, TN called Medina

Some of my interests. Well I am not sure. I enjoy listening to Music, and being a Webmaster. I did have alot of interests, but at this time my interests are few due to alot of major happenings in my life.

My experience online. Well I've worked online for 4 years now, trying to make some extra money. I never actually made any money until I joined GPTR's, and became a search engine affiliate. This allowed me to advertise and get a downline. Then I started to earn.

Well along comes the INSANE idea to make a go of being a Webmaster and open my own PTR. I opened my first one in Sept. 2003. Then along the first of this year, I decided to open or my ideas generated into having a second one. I worked, I thought, I advertised to make the extra money, and was able to purchase the domain and scripts pretty much from my online earnings.

The new PTR was to have launched in April, because I was planning on vacation when my hubby took off from work. Sadly, my designer did not think he could do my designs and never would contact me, even though I had everything set up.

So the first part of May I locked him out of both sites, found a new designer and took it from there. Well we no more got started in the middle of May, and my Hubby died of a Massive Heart attack. This of course stopped everything cold. And because the domain was in His Name, I changed it to by proxy as so his name would not show.

It also caused Me to be a mockery in another well known forum (they wanted PROOF of his death). So I wait, and we are able to finish and we launched on June 3rd. OK great, but very slow. I could not figure out why. Not until a vicious PO puts doubts in everyones mind about the ownership. I had no idea people would think I was HarleyBabes reborn and turn their noses up at my site. But they have, and even more so since her posts, and now my membership is at a standstill. I did, however defend myself and dispute the claims.

Other than the above, I managed a traffic exchange for 1 year, and have done MLM, which now MLM is not my cup of tea because nobody makes money.

(Please let us know how Downline 4All can help you.)

Please, I am a loss as to how to do damage control with TruckersBabes. I need some help. I don't know what to do. I am staying firm on the at LEAST 800 members before launching and sending paid emails, really it must be at least that high in order for members to advertise. We are in prelaunch.

I've not alot of money, as my hubby was the primary breadwinner and I live on disabiltiy and have 2 teenage sons to support. No, I'm not begging for money, I never have one time. Just explaining my situation.

Where do I go from here? What can I do to get this PTR on Track?

Thanks :)

Hi SweetThang :)

Welcome to the forum! Im so gald you have joined us.

PTR is hard enough with all the problems as it is, let alone with what you have had to go thru :(
Unfortunately word-of-mouth is the strongest advertising and when some people information incorect and pass it on it then becomes like one big chineese wisper.

I think you are doing good with your sites and should keep on track. Stick to the conviction of when you will launch. If members know it is in pre-launch they should be fine with it.
Rushing into launch before ready may cause more problems in the long run if emails cant be sent out due to a small membership and not enough ads. So hang in there!

Im in both your sites and will be staying with them.

Have you thought about joining some traffic excange sites for free and advertising your site on there.? its a great fast and free way to advertise.
There are alot of people that use these and will see it.
I for one have joined at least 30 sites from ads on them alone.

Once again Welcome! :)

Hi and welcome to downline4all,

I am sorry about your loss.

If you haven't tried berry-search yet I can recommend them.
I have been paid 4 times so far, and they paid be in hours every time.
You wont have your funds locked for a long time like some of the engines
that pay for earnings in june the 30th of july etc.
If you have some good places to advertise you can get paid fairly fast
and spend the profit to advertise your site.

It obviously means a lot for some people to know owner's details.
Maybe you can have the details of your domain changed. I also buy
domains from godaddy, and have always received good customer
support from them.
For the ones that don't check domains, maybe you can add it to your
help page, bottom of e-mails etc. if you didn't already.

As Vamp. said, word of mouth is the best advertising you can get.
Personally I beleive more in the "lower earnings, lower payout" sites.
Mistyandsamscash and quickerclickers are some sites that have had great
success. I also think Allan is doing quite good with money-for-emails.
Once people start getting paid from your site, that's when they will start
spreading the word. If payout is high it will take quite some time for
the average clicker to spread the word.
I'm only a member of a few PTR sites, but my impression is that the honest sites
with a higher payout fails.
One example of sites that are in my "failed group" is redrooster-emails.
They started out with higher paying e-mails and 50$ payout. 50% of the
members got deleted for inactivity or unsubscribed because of few paid mails.
I think it's a good idea to look at a few sites that are like what you want your
site to become, and then copy what they are doing.
I know that no-minimum used to be called x-trahits and that he got I think 150
referrals from one ad. Now, this is pretty good results. The site he advertised
at was quickerclickers. Both sites are using same script, both sites have
no minimum payout, so there's no wonder why he got good results.
His ad was highly targeted.

Also if you feel that the name of your site has been damaged because of
some people's unthoughtful comments, you may wish to rename it.
I understand if you don't want to though, as it seems as if though you
put a lot of work and heart into your site.
I am only suggesting that if you feel things aren't going like you had
hoped, now is the chance to adjust it since it's pretty new.

Since you have two sites you could try to sell ad packs with ads from both
sites. This way you can launch your site even though member base isn't
increasing as fast as you would hope.

Ok, I will stop now :)

I wish you great success. I think if you work hard, give your members
a positive response and continue beleiving you will do good.

Regards,
L

Hi, and welcome to Downline4All! :D

Sorry to hear about the loss of your good freind.
Strange how life turns out sometimes :(

I was over to a different forum here the other day,
and read about you and your site. Man, what happend
there, I mean ...What a behavior... :(

I am 100% sure that this will ride of pretty fast thoug.
you are in a very god position to get some free publisity.
A lot of people are watching you right now, so if you
want to make changes to your consept, I think now
is a very good time to do them, don't you?

You can turn this in to something good I think, you
have done nothing wrong :)

You probably don't want to blow this thing out of
proposions, but I bet you can find very good support
in your members.

I think you can do this big time if you do the right things!

I wish you the best of luck. This is just something you
have to deal with as a PO I guess.

You just Show them!! :D ;)
