paid888mails? Is it going to shut down?

Sometime ago, May 31st, the Admin posted on the forum that he needed a rest:

Since then, not much has been clear except that I have been getting no e-mails. The site is still up, but no updates otherwise. Anyone know what is going on there?

I'm not a member either - I've gotten burned by a number of sites who had little intention of paying out so I tend to take these things with a pinch of salt.

That said, there have been plenty of offers of help and sympathy, so any excuses like the number of hate mails received should be discounted. 5 weeks is a long holiday in any country, so this admin should be fully rested by now - at least enough to consider restarting, taking on help or selling.

The only problem I can see with selling on is that no one takes into account to total debt level - many people think paying off everyone who has reached payout is sufficient.

I don't think that is fair to everyone who is 10%, 20%, 50%, 80% to payout as the new owners have NO WAY of getting in the ads at a price to cover their exposure - and you wind up with endless site support searches, etc to help them recover. I hope others will do the math properly and ask to be paid to take over a site so they have some cash to pay members! I was told one site had $280,000 worth of debt - yes you read that correctly...

I hope your admin makes a commitment to decide what they are doing soon or you might find the site suspended for non-payment of fees... seems to be a serious series of coincidences going around the business right now.
