View Full Version : I get sick of sneaky sites. I need to be smarter.
Edit: See my post below on July 1. Updated my thoughts on this site, they are not as bad as I make them sound in this post.
I found Storm of Cash and it says "We will pay you 0.02 cent for every new visitor you send to StormOfCash.com." So my first thought is, "WOW, 2 cents per visitor!" Well, it is just that, 0.02 cent, so really 0.0002 per visitor. At least other similar sites word as 0.0002 per visitor. Oh well, I guess I have to believe the statement "If it is too good to be true, then it is not true". Some of these programs make me feel like I am dumb as a box of rocks! Anyway, just venting...

I 100% agree with you, it is so easy too
be fooled by some sites.
Thanks for this one, I have seen i many
times, and I've been close to sign up a
couple of times - I will never come close
again..
I am confused.
What's the difference between 0.0002$ and 0.02 cent
0.20 $ pr 1000 sites. SAS pays 1$ pr 1000 sites, 0.40$ or 0.60$
in cashable credits, I can't remember.
Compactbanner pays 0.20 $ pr 1000 banner views, so that is a crappy
payment for a page view

It's just that the way they write it,
they make it look like it is worth more.

Looking at it I understood what it was right away
when it says .02 cents then that is what it is but if it had $0.02 then it is 2 cents.
It is normal I think to work in cents than it is in dollars....especially when it comes to what you are being paid.
it is a small amount especially when you need to get 50 signups to get 1 cent!!!!
Like I said, I was stupid and fell for it. Mainly because I saw multiple similar sites that said $0.0002 per visitor, then I saw this one and it said 0.02 cents per visitor, and I was thinking $0.02. What gets me is, I am guessing they purposely worded it like that to "try" and fool people. Obviously, most everyone here noticed it right away, and I was one of the ones they fooled. Anyway, I have been trying to get to their site all morning today and it is down, so maybe they shut down and I just won't be a member there anymore. ;)

I have to take back some of my original frustration after joining this site. Since, I have researched other paid to promote sites, and most have tons of popups, software install popups, and banners. One nice thing about Storm of cash is they have NONE of that, so you can be assured you can promote them in any traffic exchange. Where as many of the best traffic exchanges do not allow sites with multiple popups and software install popups.
I agree, they are not a big earner by any means, but with a low $.02 payout and some referrals, and the ease of promoting them, they are not as bad as I first made them out to be.
Jim
What I am wondering about is where and how people are promoting
these sites.
Aren't there much better ways to convert traffic to cash than
by sending it to these sites and earning very little for each hit?
For instance I am wondering why some people send SAS ads
on mistyandsamscash  I would think with almost
every engine they would earn more by sending a search ad.
Some sites have special deals for SAS though. For instance
money-for-emails just got SAS-advertising for members only.
I've been thinking about trying that, but there's no way i would spend
my monthly ad on misty promoting SAS :o

We all get frustrated.. I've had similar experiences where I thought I'd be able cover the mortgage for a great paying programme - it came back recently with -
...
...
no earnings retained and 99% of the downline deleted...
Ah well, if it was that easy to make money on line, we'd ALL be doing it!
Some pos really do try to be sneaky, so I always take things with a pinch of salt and am pleasantly surprised when I get a bonus!
Now that you've been in for a couple of weeks, how do you rate it?

I've been in Storm of Cash for about a week now and I love it. It's a faster earner than Makolinks and it doesn't have all of the popups. I have already earned 30 cents just from the click for cash section. Great site! :D
Just a quick update on this site. I recently requested a payout and they paid me already, which is rare in the GPT world. Also, they are approaching 16000 members which is almost double what they had when I joined, so they must be doing something right.

Jim
(-good-) (-worthy-) Thank you for coming back and setting the story straight.
This is a perfect example of how little it takes to destroy the faith we place in POs hands.
Yes, there are real scammers,
Yes, there are people who have business plans which bankrupt them quicker than they can blink,
Yes, there are advertisers who take back payment, pretend to be a member redemption, etc, etc.
Through it all, most POs who have stayed in the game do their very best to keep their members paid!
