Where and what methods are most effective for gaining referrals for you?

Share your experiences good or bad with us here. :)

If you don't know because you are new at it or just don't have any success with it, ask questions here, together we will find some answers. :) B)

Let's put our heads together and see if we can't come up with several effective methods that we all can use. :)

Remember you are not creating competition, but helping one another become more successful. :) B)

Last month's poll was on Advertising. We had 18 votes
#1 was e-mail advertising (PTR) with 44.44%
#2 was Banner Ads with 27.78%
#3 was Search Engines with 11.11%

I vote 2 DB because it's stimulate 2 get more ref's :)

i practice 3 way:

1. $$$
2. somthimes SWAP
3. Ads (it works ~45-65%)

I have to say downline builder


my history...been doing PTR since Nov last year and I had NO refereals
i did some banner ads got one or two but nothing really till i came here
this forum is where I felt at home and established a raport with members and I got downlines..also my downlines thru adverts got more downlines.

Id like to say Thanks to Scoville as an example of an amazing job!
see the posts in the swap forum for black-emails and WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have to say thanks to scoville for building those downlines as they also came under me :) thanks hun!!

Over all

in the time I have been here..I have more downlines then I ever got in advetising.
Now Im not saying dont advertise..please do...it realy helps

but a combination of downline builders and ads work great!

This is honestly my best place to get referrals. There used to be a Paid to Chat place where I could get swaps every now in then in their swap room, but it wasn't as fast or easy as here :D

i think SWAP isn't best way 2 get ref's... because u don't have guarantee how is his/her activity in your PTR/PTC

We are still young and building this forum up so I cant wait to see how good building downlines will be in the future :)

I do a lot advertising of all different kinds. I think it really depends on WHAT you are promoting and picking the right vehicle for the type of person you seek.


Right now the only money maker I'm promoting is comshares - see the downline builder.

With it, I'm promoting e-gold paying sites that DO PAY! - so join any you spot in the downline builder. I think that when more people join D4A that they will only join programs though our downline builder... and ACTIVE clicker is worth 100 strong downline that only click the occasional link. LOL

At this moment, I am going to have to vote Downline Builder, since I have only 1 single downline member in all of my programs, and I got him here. :D Although I admit I have not tried many other methods, just traffic exchanges and links in signatures in forums. I've seen consistent successful downline threads on other forums, and I expect to see the same here as this place grows.

so far got referal from dwonline builder the other i decided to advertise one off the site that pays me everymonth on a site that verylong pays theire member i got 20 referal from it i think if u have a site that really pays and promote it on a site that dosent or take long to pay out pepeol will more go for it
it just a questoin off bait you dont catch fish in the wather from using chiken (lol) but trafic exchange so far as not yet work for me
swap yes can be verygood but really how many time can u swap my experience rigth now i swap and i dont like the persone site at all but now i m stuck
i also put in all my messangers a not in my name doing my paid email
and in my in my infor page yahoo and msn and all
and lot off pepeol as started to page me to ask me about it one on one
so i take the time to explaine and i got referal too that whay

Downline buider works for me + a little of advertisemnt. Ive a very pathetic downline in the beginning and i tried swapping links, but after a week, that px just flutter off. I knew it coz he was my only downline and i havnt gt a clue abt downline builder then.. haz

Always remember that building downlines is a numbers game, you go through a lot of people, and every once inawhile you find and active referral.

I guess that's the main reason I don't do much with building downlines. I would rather focus on promoting good products and services. I can earn some money that way and many times help someone with a product or service that makes life or business a little easier for them, which gives me great satisfaction. :)

What I think the best method is the auto build downline system where you can just sit there and watch the downline grow, this is good for those lazy guy just like me. In fact, It's not reality if everybody just sitting there and do nothing. :(

I'm still learning the intricacies of the trade. For a start, I developed a dynamic site http://www.practical-living.info where I share the learnings I earned.

Upgrade membership is my choice. I will invest some money for a certain program, I will make sure all the promised are TRUE for being a upgrade membership before I upgrade.

I am new to Downline Builder, so I can't compare. I am excited that I stumbled onto this forum. I have built a modest downline which has made me a great profit starting the first week of joining my program using a combination of email ads in, free advertising methods, and following up on leads that were provided through my company.

4 :rolleyes: I have tried e-mails that take alot of work and time but is slow in working. I guess it helps to get quality leads. I am new at this and working on new ideas. Any new ideas? I would appreciate all. Thanks< Linda :huh:
