I can't name names, but someone I traded with on either Paypal or EBAY is sending out a spoof letter.

Never fear, I HAVE SUPPLIED ALL THEIR INFORMATION TO EBAY!! I'm going to feel so happy when I testify to the feds and get this fraudster locked up with all those rapists and murderers.

There's a very simple form you can access via the help system. It has three parts - and is very good practice whenever you report abuse - you don't even need to open the mail if you are concerned about their being a virus.

1. (Outlook/express) Full headers - in the message log, RIGHT Click and select PROPERTIES. Then select Details - copy all of the information, no matter how long.**

2. Message body - either forward (if your sending an email) or cut and paste it across to the on-line form

3. A Comment - in emails, I generally put mine at the top asking for the email account to be deleted when I'm sure about the source - ALL of the major vendors have to comply with this request as otherwise they will be sitting in the dock for negligence. I also inform the business affected - the hosting service, etc, etc.

**NEVER, NEVER REPLY OR YOU'LL FIND BOTH YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS AND YOUR IP ADDRESS BARRAGED BY EVERY PORNOGRAPHER, SCAMMER, ETC. NEVER PRESS THE LINK "TO REMOVE ME FROM THIS SERVICE" UNLESS YOU TRUST THEM. SPAM IS SPAM AND IT'S SOLE AIM IS TO GET YOU TO RELEASE YOUR IDENTITY!

Hi ant, and thanks.

Personally I have been to "lazy" with reporting scams
in the past. Everyday I get more and more convinced
that this Really is a task that Everybody should take very
seriously.

Everybody really should report scam's. For most of us
the Internet is our playground or living, we must help
keeping our play ground a safe play ground.

I think the Internet is too new, and Too big for the
goverment's to handle all the task's alone. It's too easy
to scam newbies if you know your way arround.
(sad but true) Let's all try and do our part and make
the big cyber a better and safer place for all :)
