I'm 36, Russian from Kazakhstan (wonder how many of you know where it's located...lol).
Married for the second time now, no kids (only two step-brats lol, visiting us every fortnight, 10 and 14)

I've met my hubby online and we both had the same funny feeling we knew each other for ages
even before we've met for real :blush1:

I had a great job over there, was absolutely independent, used to travel a lot.
Now I'm locked up housewife laugh  (though not complaining) in Australia

My background is music (piano) but I've been in accounting and administration for the last 8 years
(that's a bit complicated and has a lot to do with Soviet Union and the whole system collapcing).

Used to work for canadian gold mining company some years ago and that's where
my English comes from. It was really fascinating experience.

I've been here for almost 13 months now but still can't get used to the suburban (sp?)
life after spending all my life in a big city.

Hi and Welcome Tatirog

Its great to have you hear. (-good-) I always enjoy reading your posts and look forward to reading them here :)

I lived in Perth for about 8months and its very nice, a very clean city. I did however find it very small compared to Melbourne, where I grew up and moved back to.

I've been here for almost 13 months now but still can't get used to the suburban (sp?)
life after spending all my life in a big city. How big is Kazakhstan compared to Perth?
And I have no idea where that is LOL I do know of Russia but my geograpy is really very limited.

Once again welcome to our home :)

Thank you for such a warm welcoming
You can find a map HERE (http://www.maps.com/cgi-bin/search/hyperseek.cgi?search=CAT&Category=Asia%3AKazakhstan&Qualifier=)

Almaty used to the capital of Kazakhstan and it's population ia around 1,500,000
Comparing to Perth is totally differnt as Perth is mostly suburban city and is spread a lot.

Where Almaty is more compact because most of the people live in the apartment buidings.
Here in Perth we it takes us 50 minutes (each way) to visit in-laws

Also I enjoy just wondering around the city streets when I'm in a certain mood and it's kinda
hard to do when you live in a suburb :(
Unless I want to take a train and go to the city :hahaha:

Very big city.. The city I am from has only 227 000 inhabitants, in Norway that is
a big city..
Now I'm living in a really small city, not sure how many inhabitants
