I was just recommended this e-book about PPC search engines.
Didn't have the time to read it yet, but it seems there's some useful
information there and on the site:

Wow, theres some useful things there.

Do people actual use Pay Per Click Search Engines? Iv found more people will be able to find your site if you do some good SEO work on your site and use AdWords from Google. Every so often in Magazines, everyone has the chance of getting a free £50 Adword Voucher, I dont no if they do that in the USA or any other countrys but it happens in the UK every now and then.

Yes a lot of people do use Pay Per Click. It is a very good way to advertise on a limited budget as you can control how much you spend. The main thing is to know that the ads you run will draw the click.

I will be using this when I launch my new site in the very near future.

I have not personally tried PPC yet, but I think there are some definate benefits to doing so. Some of these were mentioned in the above listed article/tutorial and others were feedback I have heard from people who have used PPC.

Some pros of PPC include the fact that you can have fast results. Your ad can be up within minutes. This is really imporant for new websites that are not listed in search engines yet. You can really target the potential customers that may really be interested in your products or services. Targeting also refers to selecting specific search words and phrases that you want. You can track your ads to find out just how well they are working. A lot of the major search engines provide free ad tracking software when you advertise with them. You are in control and able to manage your own ad campaign. Decide how much money you want to spend and decide what is working well and what is not.

It would be more enlightening if we have access to best practices on PPC use as an effective marketing tool. We hear a lot of success stories on PPC . But we also we hear a lot of noise from advertisers about "scams" associated with PPC.
