Do you mean the one before the subject of the post or the one in the upper right corner of a post?

It is to report the post to an administrator if a post is inapropriate
or if it needs to be reported for other reasons.

Not sure what you mean, where do you find "deemed inappropiate"?

For instance if someone starts bashing a person and not the topic of discussion, posting spam,
trying to cheat, posting porn, racism and so on.
We haven't had any problem with it here yet..
