For those that this would apply to, have you tried your hand at local advertising. This is not something I do for my PTR, etc work. But it is something I have considered for business services I offer.

Around where I live it seems that advertising on your truck or vehicle is a big thing. Which I mean when I am at a red light or something I do read the logos on other people cars/trucks, especially those ahead of me. Problem is unless I jot it down I would never remember the contact information. Another biggie around here is placing ads on placemats at restaurants. There are some restuarantes that have these mats with various ads on them. I guess the way it works is they rotate where your ad is placed (in different restaurants) for a year or however long. I have friends who get responses from her yellow page ad.

Just sharing my thoughts and curiousity.

Interesting topic.
Another reason why a good domain name is important for an online business.

What services do you offer kmpisces?

Yes it is very important to select a good domain name. I had written something about that in an article awhile ago too. I should look for that.

Anyway, as you can probably tell from some of what I said one of my services is freelance writing. I also offer some marketing services. I just recently finished my college degree so I haven't gotten to far into that yet. So far I have mostly provided ideas for some businesses or done some basic services for them to get started. For example: search engine and directory submissions, ad campaigns, etc I also do some online tutoring. I was working with some students in Australia which was really cool.
