I got my laptop from ebay..no dvd rom but it has everything else I needed and only cost me $495.00
half the cost of the same configuration at a 2nd hand shop!!

Watch a few auctions of laptops for a couple of weeks so you get the feel for the going prices before you bid. I watched alot of auctions for about 5 months! LOL
But yeah....dont jump at the first offer do some reasearch and you can really get some great deals on there :) I am more then happy with mine :)

Thanks for all the information here. I got my IBM T23 from my friend at $450. PIII. 20G HD, DVD Drive. Hope it worth the money LOL :)

thats a good price
mine is a pent 111 aswell 20 gig h/d its a dell slimline so I have external floppy and cd rom, thats ok with me as I use it for the net and website building only so its nice and tiny :)
if I need to play games (i have no time for them now) or use dvd's then I have my desktop and the other 3 puters I run on my LAN

I hope your laptop serves you as well as mine does me :)

Yes, it worth the money to buy my IBM T23, so far so good. Second hand, no problem at all.
